Social Style Coaching:
Easier, Faster and Better than Attending a Seminar

Interpersonal skills are a critical leadership competency. However, improving your interpersonal effectiveness can also improve your success in many areas of your life. This process is designed with a very unique format to teach interpersonal skills. Bottom line....it works and is very powerful.

It works because the program uses online learning and reinforcement withan executive coach. It's not like attending a seminar, where you can doodle on your notepad. You are personally accountable to a coach, whose only focus is on you. You are actively involved throughout the process.

The program works with all levels from CEO's to professionals. It's also customized and tailored to work just for you. If you want to improve your interpersonal effectiveness, their no better way to get training, focused feedback, and build better relationships quickly.

Versatility is the Key to Interpersonal Excellence

Versatility is a dimension of the Social Style Model, originally developed by Merrill and Reid of Tracom. It's the most powerful element of the Model. Most imitators of Social style do not deal with Versatility. There is a signifcant amount of research and it is very clear. People who are more versatile using their style are more effective and productive in interpersonal relationships. As a result, they sell more, produce more, and are better leaders.

coachingVersatility measures your concern for others compared to concern primarily for yourself. Approximately 25% of the population is in each of the segments on a continuum. Those who score in the "W" segment have the lowest Versatility. Those with scores in the "Z" segment have the highest Versatility.

There is definitely a right place to be on this continuum. Those with "Z" versatility are more successful. They are not just concerned about themselves, but focused on building relationships with others and working with others unlike themselves. There are many research studies that prove that the higher the versatility, the more effective the leader.

Typically this process takes about 30 days. Here is the typical schedule:

1. The leader will work with a certified executive coach for about an hour weekly either on the phone or virtually with Webex. The first session is an introduction to the coaching process and an overview of the Social Style Model

2. The leader then completes an online Social Style multi-rater 360° assessment. The assessment measures your style and versatility. The participant selects peers, colleagues, and/or subordinates to confidentially provide feedback about the participant's skills with others. Download a sample report.

social style3. After the assessment, the leader completes about four hours of online Social Style training using an OnDemand version of Social Styles: Producing Results with Others. Participants learn the Social Style Model using videos, quizzes and interactive exercises. It's fast paced and is very engaging with a lot of interactive exercises. Learn more about Social Style.

4. After completing the online learning they review the results of the assessment together. They discuss the participant's strengths and weakness, and discuss the participant's style and versatility score. The participant recieves a detailed report on their Social Style and Versatility.

5. The concepts are reinforced with three additional personal coaching sessions. The application session are designed to provide the participant skill development, feedback, and to reinforce the learning. Assignments are created inbetween sessions. 

The coaching process couples the state-of-the-art learning with one-on-one individualized coaching and development. That's a very powerful and effective methodology to get behavior change. It works because of the focused approach and the accountability the participant with his coach.

The cost is $1295 per participant includes:

  • The self-paced interactive program Producing Results with Others: On Demand. This online program uses the original validated Social Style Model from TRACOM, the originators of the Social Style Model.

  • social styleAn online multi-rater 360° Social Style assessment and report including their Versatility measurement you will work with your coach to debrief your report and discuss how to increase your Versatility.

  • Up to four private coaching sessions with a certified executive coach. Your coach will help you to debrief your report, understand your interpersonal strengths and weaknesses, and help you build a developmental plan to increase your versatility.

  • Free access to Social Style Navigator which reinforces the learning by providing follow-up and reinforcement.
