TEST OUR COACHING PROCESS

Option #1 - Social Style Assessment and Versatility Development

We provide a short five-session coaching experience that focuses on one leadership competency - interpersonal skills. You or your leader will work with one of our coaches throughout the process. The executive coach guides the leader through the content, helps interpret their assessment results, provides skill practice, and works with the leader to develop an action plan to increase interpersonal effectiveness with others. Typically this process takes about three to four weeks.

1. The leader will meet with a certified executive coach for about an hour either face-to-face or on the phone to get a brief introduction to the leadership coaching process and the Social Style Model.  

2. The leader completes an online Social Style multi-rater assessment. He/she selects peers, colleagues, and/or subordinates to confidentially provide feedback about skills with others.  Interpersonal effectiveness (Versatility) is measured by the leader's appropriate use of image, presentation, competence and communication with others.

3. After the assessment, the leader completes about eight hours of Social Style training using a blended learning program. The computer-based program use videos, case studies, and other online exercises.

4. After training, the concepts are reinforced with personal coaching sessions, feedback, and skill development. The coach helps leaders recognize their strengths and weaknesses, and helps the leader to build an action plan to implement the concepts on the job. 

5. After completing the coaching sessions, a custom mini-survey is sent to the original assessors to validate the changes the leader has made in working with others.  The coach will provide the results to the leader and help them to determine how well their action plan is working.

We have tested this process with several of our clients.  It combines the state-of-the-art learning with one-on-one individualized coaching. The cost is $2495 per participant.  It includes:

  • An online training program using the original validated Social Style model. 

  • An online multi-rater 360° Social Style assessment and report.

  • Up to five private training sessions with a certified executive coach.

  • A mini-poll to measure change on the job and validate the leader's accomplishments.

Option #2 - Emotional Intelligence Assessment

Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI) is powerful tool to determine whether Executive Coaching can help a leader become more effective. You will get 360 feedback on the sixteen competencies of Emotional Intelligence and be able to pinpoint key areas for leadership development.  The process includes the following:

1. The leader will meet with a certified executive coach for about an hour either face-to-face or on the phone to get a brief introduction to the ESCI and emotional intelligence. The coach will help the leader select raters including peers, colleagues, and/or subordinates.

2. The leader completes an online self assessment.  He/she also selects raters to confidentially provide feedback about the leader's behaviors and effectiveness in sixteen different areas. 

3. After completing the process the leader receives a comprehensive report. The executive coach helps the leader interpret the report and recognize strengths and weaknesses. The manager is encourage to be a part of this process. The coach, leader and manager discuss development plans and ideas and  determine if the coaching process will continue.  Click here for a sample of the report.

The cost of this assessment and interpretation by an executive coach is $1495.
