Take Your Game to the Next Level!

If you want to learn tried-and-true modern bridge conventions, this course is for you. We have selected the most popular and most effective conventions that can give you an edge in bridge.  The American Contract Bridge League has commissioned one the the world’s most successful bridge teachers, Audrey Grant to develop this course. Audrey has taken what many people consider to be a complex game and made it easy and fun to learn.

The ACBL Spade Series is designed for those who may have played before, and would like to learn modern bidding and the most popular conventions. It’s also our follow-on for the beginner’s ACBL Club Series that we are teaching at the Cincinnati Bridge Center.

Each class is a two hour session filled with new information, discussion, questions, practice hands, and supervised play. Throughout the course, we will talk about modern bidding, the play of the hand, and defense.

This six-session course will help you learn:

• The Stayman Convention
• Handling Interference
• Jacoby Transfers for the Majors
• Signing Off in a Minor Suit
• When the Opponents Interfere
• Responding to 2NT and 3NT
• Opening bids of 1H and 1S
• Jacoby 2NT and subsequent auction
• Third and Fourth Position Openings
• Weak Two's and Strong 2 Club Openings
• Opening Bids of 1C and 1D
